This year, UKACC Day will take place on the first day of the Advances in Process Automation and Control 2017 Conference, 12-14 June 2017.

  • 13.00: Lunch, exhibition and PhD Showcase poster session.
  • 14.00: UKACC/IChemE Lecture, given by Professor Tony Pipe, University of West England and the Bristol Robotics Laboratory. He will cover new developments, related to control and autonomous systems and their application to self-driving cars.
  • 15.00: Session on “Latest developments in process control and automation”.
  • 16.45: PhD Showcase presentations.
  • 18.00: Drinks reception and PhD Showcase poster session.

  • 18.00: UKACC/IMechE Lecture, given by Professor Henk Nijmeier, Eindhoven University of Technology. This lecture will cover new developments in control systems and robotics, in particular cooperative robotic systems and the synchronisation of these robots to complete tasks. UKACC / IET Tustin Lecture, 17th October 2012

The lecture entitled ‘Magnetically suspended vehicles – the dream and the reality’, will be given by Professor Roger Goodall, University of Loughborough. Click here for more details.  Professor Goodall is a former Chairman of UKACC, and is currently Vice-President of IFAC.

The lecture will be preceeded by the UKACC PhD PRESENTATION SHOWCASE, a series of short presentations by PhD students with a best presentation prize, from 2.30pm. 

The UKACC AGM will be held 12.45pm the same day.
